Do you want your garden as beautiful to look at as it is productive?
You can have your best garden ever with EZ Seed Tape. There are so many ways to use this helpful product for all your home garden needs. It's great for vegetable or flower gardens and makes the home gardening experience fun and fulfilling!
Companion Planting
Companion planting has never been easier than with EZ Seed Tape! For example, carrots and lettuce are great friends in the garden. You can sow them in the same row by using an early variety of lettuce along with a late variety of carrots. By the time the lettuce is harvested, the carrots will still be growing and on their way to full growth.
You can also take advantage of the powerful advantages of marigolds when you plan your garden plot. As you sit and glue your seeds to the EZ Seed Tape, add a marigold seed every 6 to 10 inches!
Interplanting
Growing two or more types of plants in the same place is called "interplanting" and it requires planning and coordination. Interplanting is an excellent way to increase the productivity of your garden space since slower growing plants such as carrots can use the same space as quicker growing vegetables such as radishes.
Using EZ Seed Tape, you merely "sow" a carrot seed between every radish seed and then plant the whole strip of seed tape in the same row.
If you choose to interplant, make sure plants are compatible with each other to ensure successful results.
Relay Planting
Relay planting is also sometimes called "interval planting." This is when you sow seeds so that you always have a ready crop for your kitchen garden. This continuous flow can be achieved in two ways:
Slow, medium, fast in the same row: You can plant the same type of crop in the same row and the same time. For example, different varieties of corn can be growing in the same row with some ready in the summer, the next ready in the late summer and the final variety ready in the fall. Using EZ Seed Tape just glue the seeds to the tape in the desired pattern. For example, if your seed packet instructions call for spacing the seeds 2" apart, then you first glue on all your early variety seeds (1 seed every 6") then glue your mid-season seed 2" from the other seeds; and finally glue your late season variety in empty space. Then plant the strip of seed tape and wait for the harvests!
Timing: The other way to ensure a continues flow of vegetables from your kitchen garden is to plant seeds a few days apart. For example, if you want a continuous supply of lettuce, plant a 1' foot row every week. This is especially easy with EZ Seed Tape as you can prepare the tape once, and then just cut off the amount you want to sow leaving the remaining prepared EZ Seed Tape in a cool, dry and dark place.
Succession Planting
Succession planting is another way to increase the production of your garden space. When a row of plants are spent, use the vacated space for new seeds. This is another great way to maximize your time and planning with EZ Seed Tape. For example, you can prepare 16' of EZ Seed Tape with radish seeds. For your first crop, you plant only 4', meanwhile the remaining 12' are stored in a cool, dark and dry place. After the radishes are harvested, merely cut another 4' strip of the EZ Seed Tape that is already prepared and plant it in the same space!
